Sisterhood
"A sweet friendship refreshes the soul." -Proverbs 27:9
Sisterhood is the unexplainable bond we have. When you become a part of Zeta Tau Alpha you become a part of a family: girls that will be there for you during your most notable accomplishments and toughest trials. They genuinely love you and all your quirks. Your sisters are the ladies that you call when you want to take a spontaneous trip to Memphis for some dinner and shopping, need someone to study with you in the library into the late hours of the night, want to watch Netflix and eat cookie dough for the next few hours, or really just need a good heart to heart.
To Zeta, sisterhood means love, encouragement and acceptance. It’s loving and accepting one another, and knowing that no matter what, you’ll always be by each other’s side. It’s knowing that there will always be someone you can talk to and get encouragement from. It’s pushing each other to our highest potential and God's will for our lives.

Being sisterhood chair has been such an encouragement to me. I love planning events, and so getting to plan events that help bring the chapter together is so special. Even if it is something as simple as watching the Bachelor together, it’s so fun to be able to get with your sisters and just talk and hang out for a little bit, and take a break from school.
Two of my favorite sisterhoods we did this past semester was our galentines event and our pancakes and hot chocolate/service event. For our galentines event everyone was assigned a person to get a cute gift for and we did a gift swap at the end. It was just fun to be together and watch everyone open their gifts . We also did a service sisterhood where we made goodie bags for the Kirkland cancer center, and we ate pancakes and hot chocolate while we were making the bags. I love sisterhoods like this because it’s an opportunity for all of us to get together and do things for other people.
